Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - The Characters

Peter Jason Quill (Star Lord):

The son of a human and a Spartoi, and was abducted from Earth as a child and raised by a group of alien thieves and smugglers called the Ravagers. He is the founder and leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Gamora:

A former assassin and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. She is raised by Thanos (The Dark Lord), however betrays him in an attempt to free herself. She regards herself as the deadliest woman in the whole galaxy.

Drax the Destroyer:

A former intergalactic criminal and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He comes from a race of primitives who are considered naive and hopeless. However in spite of his lack of basic concepts he is a fierce warrior.

Baby Groot:

A sentient, tree-like being and partner in crime of of intergalactic criminal Rocket Raccoon. He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. In the first film, Groot sacrificed his own life to save his new friends but Rocket nevertheless managed to plant half of his destroyed body and as such, he regrew and is now called Baby Groot.

Rocket Raccoon:

Rocket previously known as 89P13, is a genetically enhanced raccoon turned freelance criminal. Him, alongside his partner Groot, travelled the galaxy picking up bounties before meeting the Star Lord who eventually convinced the pair to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yondu Udonta:

A centaurian, leader of a faction of the Ravagers and a father figure to Peter Quill.

Nebula:

An adopted daughter of Thanos and was raised alongside Gamora as siblings. Also a member of the Guardians.

Mantis:

A member of the Guardians who has empathetic powers.

Taserface:
A Ravager bounty hunter and lieutenant (second in command) of the Yondu Ravager Clan.

Stakar Ogord:
A Ravagers Captain and leader of the Stakar Ravager Clan. He is responsible for saving Yondu Udonta from a life of slavery and welcomed him to the Ravagers.

Ego:
A celestial, a primordial and extremely powerful entity and the father of Star-Lord. He is a mysterious adventurer and has heard the legend of the Guardians of the Galaxy, following the Battle of Xander and comes to meet them for the first time.
